With the Fourth of July holiday weekend quickly approaching, I’ve been thinking about the many interior (and exterior) design possibilities perfect for summer celebrations and family barbecues.

For those who haven’t visited Martha’s Vineyard, this quaint summer destination spot, located just south of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, oozes charm through its light houses, sandy shores and harbor town cottages. Being an island, the only way to get there is by ferry or air-so refreshing!

Inspired by this iconic summer colony, I created a style board that emulates the character of Martha’s Vineyard!

Summer Interior Design

Molly Hatch Art: A current obsession of mine is amazing one-of-a-kind wall installations! I saw a similar installation during my  and it’s quickly becoming a favorite. Classic blue and white is the perfect palette for Martha’s Vineyard!

Made Goods Chair: We loved when we came across it at in April. It is the perfect size and its clean lines and burled wood seamlessly combine old and new.

Chandelier: A new classic, this shaded by Circa Lighting is perfect for Martha’s Vineyard! I love how the classic look of the chandelier is brought up to date with the silver leaf finish and smooth shades.

Settee: A spool framed, powder blue by Julian Chichester captures the light and bright feel of Martha’s Vineyard!

Red Fabric: The by Mokum is the perfect Americana fabric for July Fourth celebrations!

Beige Fabric: Suits by JF Fabrics is 100% Linen – what could be more perfect for the Vineyard?

Blue Fabric: Harwich by because we needed to bring a little textured, fun pattern into the design!

Wallpaper: We spotted this wallpaper by Abnormals Anonymous when Supply Showroom brought it by the studio, and I absolutely fell in love.

Bike: This in Powder Blue is the perfect form of transportation around the island (and it looks cute leaning up against the porch too!)

Last but not least, I can’t forget my favorite casual spot to grab oysters by the ocean,
