One of my favorite design styles is mid-century modern. Classified by , this style is all about pieces that are sleek and timeless. This period was also an important era for furniture design, as some of the most iconic pieces were created during this time.
No matter what the style or design of your home is, there will be some spaces that are more casual than others. For example, the kitchen and game room are rooms you use every day, where you go to relax and hang out. A sitting room or a dining room, on the other hand, are often more formal rooms. They’re designed to be sophisticated spaces that embody luxury and they’re the perfect spot for celebrating special occasions and hosting guests.
To introduce myself, my name is Meredith and I am one of the Senior Designer at Dbh-biz.info! Today I am thrilled to introduce you to one of my recent obsessions: Funky Chairs. Make no mistake, ‘Funky Chairs’ are not to be confused with ‘chairs which resonate the music genre originated in the mid-late 1960s’.
I’m referring to exceptionally unique seats which add a layer of interest to your home. The chairs that go above & beyond their intended purpose: to cushion your fanny. These items stand apart (or, in this case, sit) as a conversation piece in your home. I’m talking about the chair found in your foyer not intended exclusively for sitting. The piece your guests assume must have been collected during one of your exciting world travels.
A favored Montrose native representation can be found inside Macaroon by Patisse on West Gray. It was a brazen design decision to disdain traditional seating and opt for this ‘Fleur De Lis’ inspired statement piece. To our surprise, the furnishings proved as impressive as the sweets (which are exceptional!).
