When you think of feminine colors, shades of pink are one of the first colors that come to mind. For quite a while now, millennial pink has been a hot color in the design world. But I feel the winds of change a-blowin’ and I’m calling it: This season I’m predicting that lilac is the new blush!
Once I picked up on it, there was no way to NOT to see it. Lilac was ever present during High Point Market on everything from benches to throw pillows to chairs. But don’t throw all of your blush pieces out the door just yet. Lilac is lovely when paired with blush so let’s bring them together!
The is the best backdrop for the lilac, both by UK design phenom, Julian Chichester. Metallics are fabulously paired with our color du jour and the backs of the bookcase are covered in parchment.
The by Nathan Anthony is a lovely sculptural showstopper in its own right. And in this pale lilac… heart eyes forever!
Let’s stop and appreciate the by Windsor Smith for Century Furniture. The shape itself was introduced last market and I fell in love with it then. Now, in the feminine pastel shade, it is absolutely glorious!
is one of my favorite designer/brand collaborations ever! Their has so many great things happening and yet is still a simply sophisticated silhouette.
While there were just so many instances that proved lilac is the new blush, these were my favorite moments from the October High Point Market.
